It was another great weekend for new country music, with Mickey Guyton, Ryan Hurd and more dropping new tunes.

Jake Owen is facing a lawsuit over his hit song “Made For You.” Alexander Cardinale and Morgan Reid have filed a lawsuit claiming Jake’s song is a rip-off of their 2014 track with the same name.

Carly Pearce is ready to drop a new album. The record will be an expansion of her “29” EP, titled “29:Written in Stone” and it will be released September 17^th.

Lauren Alaina is ready to share some new music with fans. The singer just announced that her new album, “Sitting Pretty On Top of the World,” will be released September 3^rd.

As we told you, Taylor Swift previously voiced a Tokyo Olympics commercial about the Women’s Gymnastic Team, and now she’s done the voiceover for another one, which aired ahead of Simone Biles’ balance beam competition last night, for which she won a Bronze medal. 

Paul Cotton, singer and guitarist of the 70s country-rock band Poco, “passed away unexpectedly, peacefully” Monday, according to a post on his Facebook page. He was 78.  Cotton replaced Poco co-founder Jim Messina in the band in 1970, and upon hearing the news Messina called him a “special musical kindred brother.”

Garth Brooks restarted his Stadium Tour last month, but now he’s thinking twice about it due to the latest COVID resurgence.

Morgan Wallen continues his steps toward a comeback. Just a week after he sat down with Michael Strahan for an interview on “Good Morning America” Morgan was back on stage, thanks to Luke Bryan. 

American gymnast Sunisa Lee won Gold in the Women’s all-around competition yesterday, and ahead of the big event NBC got folks pumped up with a new promo, narrated by none other than Taylor Swift.

Congratulations are in order for Brett Young and his wife Taylor. The singer revealed on Instagram that they welcomed their second daughter, Rowan Marie Young, on July 21^st.

Chris Young has shared another new song. The latest is the tune “Break Like You Do,” which is available to fans who pre-order Chris new album “Famous Friends.” 

No matter what kind of business you’re in, you’ll find different communication styles between people. And a new survey of a thousand Americans wanted to find out how communication differences can cause misunderstandings between coworkers. But surprisingly, the poll reveals that several phrases often mean completely different things to men and women, even though they have nothing to do with sex or gender.

Travis Denning is releasing some new music in just a couple of weeks. The singer announced he’ll drop the new EP, “Dirt Road Down” on August 6^th.

As we previously told you, back in March Kenny Chesney announced he was pushing back his summer stadium shows to 2022. Well, now fans have something to look forward to because he’s announced dates for the new trek. 

Scotty McCreery recently dropped the new song “Why You Gotta Be Like That,” which he wrote with James McNair and Jordan Schmidt, and Scotty says the tune was inspired by his wife Gabi.

As we told you, a recent study revealed that stress levels were at a record high last year. And while most of that stress was likely due to the pandemic, it’s no secret that there are a lot of other things that cause stress in people’s every day lives. 

Toby Keith has a new album coming out this fall. “Peso in My Pocket,” Toby’s first album since 2015’s “35 MPH Town,” will drop October 15^th. 

ZZ Top’s longtime bassist and vocalist Dusty Hill has passed away at the age of 72. No cause of death was given. 

While there has not been a Stagecoach Festival for two years due to COVID, the country festival is set to return in 2022, and the all-star lineup has just been announced.

ACM announced that the 14^th annual ACM Honors will take place August 25^th at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium, with Luke Combs, Dan + Shay, Loretta Lynn, Rascal Flatts and more among this year’s honorees.
