Now this is a great way to start 2024…new music from Willie Nelson. Shotgun Willie teamed up with Charley Crockett for a brand new song called “That’s What Makes The World Go Around,” and it was Willie’s idea. Crockett says that Nelson called him and asked if he had anything to record, and he says “I told him I had plenty. Hung up the phone, drove out to Billy Horton’s place, and wrote a couple on the spot.”
How do you get a call from Willie Nelson asking to record with you? You just have to be one of the hottest acts in America, and Charley isn’t slowing down this year. Crockett’s got a full lineup of festivals and shows, including two shows at Denver’s Mission Ballroom on January 18th and 19th.
