Willie Nelson is turning 89 in April and he’ll celebrate by releasing a new album. The legendary singer announced he’ll drop the new album “With a Little Help From My Friends” on April 29th, his actual birthday.
The album features covers of The Beatles’ “With A Little Help From My Friends,” and Leonard Cohen’s “Tower of Song,” as well as five songs Willie wrote with longtime collaborator and producer, Buddy Cannon.
And Willie has just given fans their first taste of the record, sharing the Rodney Crowell and Chris Stapleton-penned tune “I’ll Love You Till the Day I Die.”
