Wanda Jackson To Release One Last Album

As we previously told you, Wanda Jackson announced her retirement back in April of 2019 but apparently she has one last album in her. Wanda is set to release “Encore” on August 20^th. 

The album, produced by Joan Jett and her collaborator Kenny Laguna, was recorded before Wanda announced her retirement. Jett also appears on three of the album’s eight songs. Other guests on the album include Elle King, Candi Carpenter and Pistol Annie’s Angaleena Presley.

Wanda has already released the first single from the record, a cover of Johnny Tillostson’s 1962 hit “It Keeps Right On Hurtin’.” Check the song out to the right and the track list for “Encore” below:
