Toby Keith has written a song for Clint Eastwood’s new movie “The Mule” and it all happened thanks to a golf tournament. The singer says he was paired up with Clint and played with him for three days, which he said was “amazing.”

Toby and Clint got to talking and Clint shared that he was about to go off and make a new movie. ”I said, ‘What keeps you going?’ and he said, ‘I get up every day and don’t let the old man in,’” Toby tells NewsOK. “So, I came home, wrote a song for him called ‘Don’t Let the Old Man In’ and sent it to him. And he put it in his movie,”

Toby notes, “He absolutely loves it. It is a very powerful song… It’s a very emotional, dramatic piece of music and as good as I’ve ever done in my life.”
