Tim McGraw Teaming With Pulitzer Prize-Winner For Book On The Music That Shaped America

Tim McrGraw is releasing a health and lifestyle book in November, but it turns out that’s not the only book he’ll be dropping this year. The singer has teamed with Pulitzer Prize-winning presidential historian Jon Meacham on a new book about music that defined America.

“Songs of America: Patriotism, Protest, and the Music That Made a Nation” will be released in hardcover June 11^th and will have Meecham looking at songs in a historical context, while Tim will look at the tunes through the eye of an artist.

According to a press release, some of the songs examined in the book include “The Star Spangled Banner” and Bruce Springsteen’s “Born in the U.S.A.”
