As promised, Sam Hunt dropped the new single “Downtown’s Dead,” the first new music from Sam since 2017’s “Body Like A Back Road.”
In the track, written by Shane McAnally, Zach Crowell and Josh Osborne, who also wrote “Body Like A Back Road,” Sam is singing about a city that’s no longer fun now that his woman is gone. Lyrics of the chorus include, “As long as you're still in my head / There ain't no way that I can paint a ghost town red.”
- Meanwhile, Sam is getting ready to hit the road this summer. He’s set to play stadium dates on Luke Bryan's "What Makes You Country Tour," beginning May 31st in Toronto, Canada. He will also headline some festivals.
