Ryan Hurd Calls Single “Pass It On” “Unabashedly Positive”

Ryan Hurd recently released the new song “Pass It On,” from his album “Pelago,” which he wrote with his wife Maren Morris, Jordan Schmidt, and Hardy. Ryan says the song was originally meant to be on Maren’s third album, but as they kept writing it “it sort of felt more like it was more of a song for a guy to sing.”
He notes, “I’m really thankful that it did because I love just the recording of the way that it feels and I love how unabashedly positive it is and I think that’s a great way to kick off an album.”
Maren and Hardy sing background on the tune, which Ryan says “is really cool.” He notes, “it’s just really fun to have like your friends and obviously Maren sings on a lot of the album but it’s fun to have them be a part of it.”
