Riley Green’s latest single is an ode to his grandfathers, and he’s doing more than just singing about them. While Riley wrote the tune, “I Wish Grandpas Never Died,” all by himself, he actually gave a writing credits to his grandfathers Buford and Lendon.

Riley shares, “They weren’t in the room with me when I wrote the song, but the song is literally written from a point of view of what values they taught me growing up.”

Riley says the tune is “kind of me appreciating some of the things that they appreciated from when they grew up,” adding, “I couldn’t have wrote the song without ‘em, and I thought it was really cool… to have their names on something that’s gonna last forever.”
