Reba McEntire was asked about who could replace Blake Shelton on "The Voice,” and she revealed that originally she was offered a role on the show in 2011! McEntire declined at the time because she felt that the show wasn't a good fit for her and she's not committed to staying in one place for so long.

"I got [a look at] the Holland version of ’The Voice’. They sent it to me and I said, 'I can't see me doing that,’” Reba tells Cassie DiLaura of "Entertainment Tonight." But despite her own first pass, she gives it up for Shelton and his long tenure on the show.

McEntire thinks that filling Shelton’s shoes is going to be tough, which she knows first hand as she served as a mentor to Team Blake in the past. In the meantime, the two country superstars may just focus on their new rivalry - Shelton’s “Ol Red” bar is only 45 minutes down the road from McEntire’s brand new restaurant.
