Randy Travis, Brothers Osborne & More Honored At ASCAP Country Music Awards

The 57th annual American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers (ASCAP) Country Music Awards were handed out earlier this week in Nashville, with Brothers Osborne, songwriters Ashley Gorley and Hillary Lindsey and more being honored.
In addition to this year’s award winners, Randy Travis was honored with the ASCAP Founders Award. Paying tribute to Randy was Carrie Underwood, who was a surprise guest at the event, performing “Promises,” as well as Garth Brooks who performed Randy’s classic “Forever and Ever Amen.”
As for this year’s winners, Brothers Osborne received the ASCAP Vanguard Award, while Gorley won the ASCAP Country Music Songwriter of the Year Award for an seventh time in his career, and Lindsey received the ASCAP Global Impact Award. In addition, Old Dominion’s Matthew Ramsey and Trevor Rosen were named ASCAP Country Music Songwriter-Artists of the Year, while Steven Battey won ASCAP Country Music Song of the Year for Luke Combs' "One Number Away."
