Old Dominion is back with new music. The band just dropped the new tune “I Was On A Boat That Day,” which is now the most added song to country radio.
Brad Tursi says the title of the song is “one that we’ve had for many years,” noting it was a tune that was “brought up and put down over the years.” He adds, “it’s just about, you know, a little heartbreak song about a guy who’s not really heartbroken in this particular moment cuz he’s on a boat and he’s having fun and I’ll deal with the rest tomorrow.”
Matthew Ramsey adds, “we had this idea that it needed to sound like a party and needed to sound a little, you know, intoxicated, so we drank some tequila and went in and did our best little party dance song and we had a really great time recording it.”
