It certainly seems like the Oak Ridge Boys have no plans on slowing down. The band is currently working on not one, but two albums, produced by Dave Cobb, who helmed their last release, “17 Avenue Revival.”
The first album will be a Christmas record, while the second is described as “a classics and standards album with the attitude of singing together on the front porch.”
"I remember, as if it were yesterday, when we first signed with a major record label and our career exploded decades ago,” frontman Duane Allen shares. “The Oak Ridge Boys became a household name. Now, after signing with Thirty Tigers and Lightning Rod Records -- with Dave Cobb as our producer -- we are experiencing that surge again."
Although no exact date for the Christmas album has been revealed, it is expected out before their fall Christmas tour. Their second album is expected a few months after that.
