Nominees for the 57th Annual ACM Awards are out with Chris Young leading this year’s pack with seven nominations including Album of the Year and Single of the Year for his Kane Brown collab “Famous Friends.”
Coming in just behind him are Chris Stapleton and Walker Hayes with five and Miranda Lambert with four, including a nod for Entertainer of the Year and her record-tying 16th Female Artist of the Year nomination. (She’s tied with Reba McEntire.)
Joining Miranda in the Entertainer of the Year category are Carrie Underwood, Eric Church, Luke Combs, and Chris Stapleton.
Other tidbits about this year’s nominations include:
- Morgan Wallen, who was ineligible for nominations last year due to his racial slur scandal, earned four this year, including Male Artist of the Year and Album of the Year for “Dangerous: The Double Album.”
- Mickey Guyton, who received critical acclaim for her debut album “Remember Her Name,” earned no nominations.
- Luke Bryan, last year’s Entertainer of the Year winner, was shut out of the category this year, and only earned one nod, for his appearance on Jordan Davis’ “Buy Dirt.”
- Blake Shelton and Dierks Bentley were also snubbed, with this being the first time since 2013 Dierks didn’t receive a nod.
- Women make up 37% of this year’s nominees.
- Three members of the LGBTQ+ community earned nods – Brothers Osborne’s TJ Osborne earned a nomination for Duo of the Year, Lily Rose, nabbed a nod for New Female Artist of the Year, and Shane McAnally received four nominations.
- Ryan Hurd and Maren Morris are the first married couple to be nominated in the same year since Tim McGraw and Faith Hill in 2017.
The 57th Annual ACM Awards, co-hosted by Dolly Parton, Jimmie Allen and Gabby Barrett, airs March 7th exclusively on Prime Video, live from Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
