New Country Music programs on A&E

The A&E network will be celebrating country music next month with three very special programs.

The network will air the Willie Nelson special, “Willie Nelson: American Outlaw” on April 12^th, a concert celebrating Willie that taped in Nashville back in January, 2019. Artists featured in the special include George Strait, Jimmy Buffett, Chris Stapleton, Dave Matthews, Eric Church, Emmylou Harris, Vince Gill and more.

The Willie concert airs at 10 pm, and prior to it the network will debut a new “Biography” on Dolly Parton. The two-hour special will feature interviews by such stars as Stapleton, Jane Fonda, and Lily Tomlin, and will follow the singer’s journey from her childhood in Tennessee to superstardom. Check out a trailer to the right.

But that’s not all. On April 13^th, A&E will air another “Biography,” this one dedicated to Kenny Rogers. It features appearances by such stars as Reba McEntire, Lionel Richie, Jamey Johnson, and the members of Little Big Town and Lady Antebellum.
