Netflix Announces Pop Music History Doc

"Netflix" has teamed up with "Banger Films" for a new eight-part docuseries titled "THIS IS POP." This will explore untold stories from pop music history.
The docuseries will take a look at significant moments in pop music that impacted the culture. Interviews that will also be featured as part include Brandi Carlile, T-Pain, Boyz II Men, Steve Earle, Chuck D, and Shania Twain.
All eight episodes will drop on "Netflix" on June 22. Each episode will focus on a different era in pop music.
In a statement, producer Amanda Burt said, “We started with the question ‘What is Pop?’, and found answers we never expected. It’s more than the charts or what floats out of a car radio. It’s a perfect time capsule of how people were living as it was made and how they danced, loved, and cried as it was heard.”
