The “Super Mario Bros.” movie broke records as it took the number one spot at the North American box office this weekend. The animated movie grossed $146 million domestically, and $377 million globally to become the number one debut for an animated film of all time, beating out “Frozen 2.”
“John Wick 4” held on at number two with $14.6 million, while “Dungeons & Dragons” almost tied with $14.5 million but managed to grab third place. The Ben Affleck movie “Air”, about the origin of the Air Jordan shoe, debuted at number four with $14.46 million. Finally “Scream VI” was fifth on the chart with $3.3 million this weekend.

In the music video, Black belts out lyrics like “Peach Peach Peach Peach Peach I love you” while wearing a Bowser costume and banging on a peach-colored piano, and “ Mario, Luigi, and a Donkey Kong too / A thousand troops of Koopas couldn't keep me from you / Princess Peach, at the end of the line / I'll make you mine, oh.”
