Mitchell Tenpenny Makes Plea For Duet With Scott Stapp On Instagram: Mitchell Tenpenny is apparently a big Creed fan. So much so that he's taken to putting it out there on Instagram that he'd love to duet with Creed frontman Scott Stapp. Alongside Mitchell doing his own acoustic version of Creed's "One Last Breath," the country star wrote "Ok day 1 of trying to get one of my all time favorite artist @scottstapp to duet with me. We gotta make this happen. Scott if you see this i’m a massive fan. I know we’ve never met but this would be the greatest Christmas Gift ever!" All we can say is "Good luck, Mitchell!"
Chris Janson And Bret Michaels Perform "Your Mama Don't Dance" On "CMT Crossroads": We told you earlier this week that Chris Janson and Bret Michaels of Poison were appearing in an upcoming episode of "CMT Crossroads." We're betting you're wondering how that would sound. Bret let us know yesterday, by posting a clip on his Instagram of he and Chris jamming on the Loggins & Messina classic "Your Mama Don't Dance," which Poison had a Top Ten pop hit with in 1989. The episode airs Wednesday at 9pm on CMT.
Cody Johnson Channels Merle Haggard On "If We Make It Through December": If you're a Cody Johnson fan, or a Christmas fan, or both - "CMT Presents: A Cody Johnson Christmas" is a must see. One performance during the program had special meaning for Cody and his wife. He explained that in the early days of his career and their marriage, they were down to their last $20 and Cody, unaware it was their last bit of money, put it in a Christmas card. On the drive home, the Merle Haggard song "If We Make It Through December" came on the radio and the two cried together - but arriving home, they found Cody's first songwriting checks equaling $5000 in the mailbox. "CMT Presents: A Cody Johnson Christmas" is now available to stream on Paramount+.
