Miranda Lambert On Finding Love And Staying Healthy

When Miranda Lambert knows what she wants she isn’t about to sit around and wait for it, and that includes her now husband Brendan McLoughlin. 

"I feel like I’ve been through enough in my life to know what I don’t want,” she tells “Health” magazine of finding her man. “So when I know what I do want, I snatch it right up.”

Being that this is an interview for “Health,” Miranda talks about working out with her man, and apparently she isn’t quite as fit as he is.  "Sometimes I want to kill him, and sometimes I’m thankful for it," she says, "He does a pity run with me, and then he does his real run. It’s sad."

But Miranda isn’t working out to lose weight or have a perfect body, sharing that she’s more interested in simply staying healthy. "These days, I just try to feel good about myself and know that I’m trying. And if there’s wine and cheese, sometimes I have it," she says. She adds that while she’s “struggled with ups and downs in weight,” right now she’s “hit a comfortable place.” She explains, “this is pretty much my size. I’m a size 6, give or take five pounds, depending on the day." 

• ONE MORE THING! When it comes to her personal life, Miranda admits she’s "never gonna get used to the public eye in that way.” She explains, "When everyone’s worried about your personal life, it makes you feel like, 'Well, if you could just spend some of that time talking about my actual art, that would be great!'" adding, "But I guess I asked for it, getting into this business." 

• And…As we previously told you, Miranda’s new album “Wildcard” is her seventh solo studio album to debut at number one on the “Billboard” Top Country Album charts. Well, that has tied her with Carrie Underwood for being the only artist in the list’s history to have seven albums debut at number one. She also ties Carrie and Dolly Parton for the third-most number one albums among women, with Reba McEntire holding the record with 13.
