Midland fans are anxiously awaiting their sophomore release, and they just gave us a taste of what to expect.
The band played the Texas Chapter of the Recording Academy’s annual South By Southwest Block Party in Austin, Texas this weekend, and debuted two new songs, “21st Century Honky Tonk American Band” and “Mr. Lonely.”
As for when everyone will be able to hear the songs, frontman Mark Wystrach told the audience that “Mr. Lonely” would be coming out “in a couple of weeks” and he later told “Billboard” the album will probably come out in late summer.
He added that the record, “picks up where we left off on ‘On The Rocks.’ It’s the result of a band that’s been on the road non-stop and has been writing and become confident in the studio.”
