The guys Midland fans see on stage are definitely not the same people they are off stage, but frontman Mark Wystrach stops short of calling their stage personas “characters.”
“Being on stage, you are performing, and it is an extremely heightened sense of yourself,” he says. “It’s not a gimmick.”
But he adds, “I don’t think you want to be Jess, Mark and Cam on stage and Midland at the restaurant. I think that would be obnoxious.”
