Michael Ray Lands New Number One

Michael Ray has a new number one song. The singer’s latest single, “Whiskey and Rain,” tops the “Billboard” Country Airplay chart.

The song took 65 weeks to reach the top spot, tying Travis Denning’s “After A Few” for the longest journey to number one. 

The track is now Michael’s second number one. He previously topped the chart with “Kiss You In The Morning” in August 2015.

Elsewhere on the chart…

• Walker Hayes’ “Fancy Like” spends it’s 24^th week on top the Hot Country Songs chart, tying Florida Georgia Line’s “Cruise” for the fourth-most weeks on top that chart.
• Maren Morris’ “Circles Around This Town” debuts at nine on the Hot Country Songs chart, her ninth Hot Country Songs Top 10, and her second song to debut in the Top 10.
