Mark Wystrach Of Midland Is Nostalgic For The ‘70s

Midland, known for its throwback vibe to the late ‘70s in their music, is currently climbing the charts with their song "Longneck Way to Go". Lead singer Mark Wystrach says there’s a simple reason the band revels in that ‘70s vibe - he’s totally infatuated with that era!
“Everything about that era because of that feeling is what I look up to, because it’s kind of like reliving, I think, a really beautiful time of connectivity when people were truly not afraid to be themselves,” Wystrach says.
Wystrach says that he appreciates the simpler time, where people were more connected and they got dressed up to go out on a Friday night to have some fun, maybe even meet their future partner. Perhaps Midland fans will start leaving their phones at home next time they see the band live, so they can be, in his words, “fully present.”
