Maren Morris Pleads Begs Us To Leave A World “Better Than We Found It” In New Song

Maren Morris just gave fans some new music. The singer dropped the new song “Better Than We Found It.”
The song is definitely a comment on the world we’re living in today, and has her singing about speaking up for things you believe in, and, as the title suggests, leaving the world “better than we found it.”
“America, America/Divided we fall/ America, America/God save us all,” she sings, “From ourselves and the Hell that we've built for our kids/ America, America We're better than this.”
Maren also dropped a video for the song, which features footage of protest marches, both past and present, and features people telling their stories of police brutality, of their fears, and of why they are marching. It ends with a message to her son Hayes, as she struggles through this difficult year, with the screen ending on the word “VOTE.”
A portion of proceeds from “Better Than We Found It” will be donated to the Black Women’s Health Imperative.
