Maren Morris Admits She Fell Out Of Love With Music

Maren Morris just released her new album “Humble Quest” and she decided to get real with fans. In a post on Instagram she admitted that during the pandemic she briefly “fell out of love with music.”
“As someone who has been performing since a young teen, it’s been a calling but it’s also been a job,” she writes next to clips of early recordings of “Humble Quest” songs. “Maybe I didn’t fall out of love with music but I certainly fell out of love with the music business (or were we ever in love? I’m not actually sure, haha).”
She notes, “Through these years and through these original worktapes I’m sharing with you now, old shreds of myself fell away and new, stronger bones began to take their place,” adding, “My musical cells regenerated into who I am today, and Humble Quest is the Polaroid of that soulful hyperbaric chamber bringing me back to life.”
Maren shares, “I am on this quest for the long haul, songs or not, but I’m glad these songs are the proof holding my a** accountable.”

Maren says putting the tracklist together for “Humble Quest” was an “obsession” for her. “As someone that truly loves listening to albums in sequence of how the artist wants you to hear them, like I am glad people are getting rid of like shuffle mode,” she shares. “Because I hate listening to things out of order of when artists wanted them.”
