Luke Bryan Wasn’t Sure About “Drunk On You” At First

Luke Bryan had a number one hit with 2012’s “Drunk On You,” but he admits now he wasn’t too sure about the song when he was recoding it.
"What's happening with me is 'Drunk on You,' I wasn't crazy about it," he tells Kelleigh Bannen on Apple Music’s “Essentials Radio,” explaining that he had an issue with the lyric, “Girl you make my speakers go boom boom.” He explains, “we couldn't determine whether that was cheesy or not, and it was throwing us."
But now Luke says it’s one of his favorites to play live, which is important to him for any song, explaining, “I write for the live show period, and I pick songs for the live show.”
