Luke Bryan Excited About Vegas Residency, Worried About His Mother In Sin City

Luke Bryan kicks off Las Vegas residency at the Theatre at Resorts World Las Vegas on Friday, and he’s already liking the whole set up of a residency. 

“I can literally, like, ease out of my hotel room, ride the elevator down and clock into work," he tells “Good Morning America.” "I'm just excited to see the show come together."

He adds that what’s great about Vegas is “everybody’s here to have a good time,” noting, “you know so when you’re able to put on a show and the vibe is already energetic and kind of a party it just adds to whole overall feel of the show.”

But Luke already sees one major issue with being in Vegas, and it has to do with his mom, LeClaire, who’s in town while he’s doing the show. "Oh, yeah. My mother, she's already punched her ticket," he jokes, “What's the big shopping center out here? Crystals and all that? Yeah, my credit card will be in flames come Friday.”

ONE MORE THING! Luke tells "GMA" that he has become friendly with Katy Perry's fiance Orlando Bloom, and insists his "American Idol" co-judge may be a little envious of it.  "She's really a little jealous because she believes that Orlando kinda might have a little man crush on me," he says. "Orlando came into Nashville and I had all these outdoor activities planned for him,. So me and Orlando, our love is strong. Our love is strong."
