Lil Nas X Debuts On The Country Airplay Chart

While “Billboard” may have pulled Lil Nas X’s “Old Town Road” from the Hot Country Songs chart for not being country enough, the song is still making an impression with country fans.
The tune, which recently got the remix treatment thanks to Billy Ray Cyrus, just debuted at number 53 on the Country Airplay chart, which is based on radio airplay. The mag notes that most of ”Old Town Road’s” plays have come during morning radio, with many of the plays coming once the Cyrus remix was released.
- Meanwhile, the song is doing gangbusters on the pop charts. It’s at number one on the “Billboard” Hot 100 singles chart this week.
