Lee Brice is having a heck of a week. The singer’s track “One Of Them Girls” was named Song of the Year at ASCAP, BMI and SESAC, the first time a song has won the coveted title in the same year from all three performing rights organizations.
“When you get something like a number one hit, or a song of the year at ASCAP, BMI or SESAC, it’s already huge,” Lee tells “Billboard.” “But this — it’s a song that keeps on giving.”
Lee was shocked that he’s the first to ever win the award from all three groups in the same year. He notes, “We thought there’s no way it was really true. But it was. We have a monumental moment we can look back on and say we were part of.”
