Lauren Alaina Readies Her First Book Release

As we previously told you, Lauren Alaina has dropped a new inspirational book, "Getting Good At Being You." 

In the book, Lauren shares personal stories, including battling an eating disorder and losing love ones. The stories are not as doom and gloom as they sound, each one leads to encouragement for personal and spiritual growth and practical tips and strategies to take to overcome the obstacle. 

The book also will encourage you to dream big, give you tips and lists to help you boost your self-confidence, and give you a look at behind-the-scenes pics from Lauren's country music career.

Lauren is so excited, saying, “I am so proud of my book, 'Getting Good At Being You.' It is all about my faith, my family, my journey, the ups and downs, hope and peace and setbacks and bouncing back. I’m just thrilled that I can share my journey, and hopefully, it can bring healing and peace and love to people that need it. That was my intention with it. I actually got to celebrate it with a ‘Fansgiving’ event, and I read a little bit from it and interacted with my fans, and I was just overwhelmed with thankfulness.”

She also shares that she was approached to do the book, as she went on her journey of faith. "I started really talking – speaking out about my faith. And Harper Collins actually came to me to write the book and asked if I would be interested in writing a gift book. They sent me a couple of examples that I read, and I was excited because it really felt like it lined up with kind of what I do already. And it’s a faith-based book called 'Getting Good At Being You' and it’s all about my journey of self-love and my faith and getting into the place that I’m in now and all of the things that happened. It’s not really a memoire but a lot of my life is woven through the book to share with people how I got through different situations and how different things shaped my faith, and I’m really proud of it.”
