The fight over the use of the name Lady A is over. As we told you, after changing their name from Lady Antebellum to Lady A in June, 2020, they found out R&B artist Anita White went by that name. Country Lady A then filed a lawsuit, asking a Nashville court to give them the right to trademark the name, revealing that White demanded $10 million for use of the name.
Well, White eventually countersued Lady A over the name, seeking unspecified damages for trademark infringement and unfair competition. But apparently both sides have now come to some sort of settlement.
Both parties filed a joint request in Tennessee federal court to have the case dismissed. No details of the settlement have been released, and neither side has commented on it.
