Kelsea Ballerini Reflects On Seventh Number One Single

Kelsea Ballerini has a new number one single. The singer’s latest tune, “Half of My Hometown,” her collaboration with Kenny Chesney, tops the "Billboard" Country Airplay chart,  her overall seventh number one track.

Kelsea took to social media to share that the song is her “favorite,” and gave all the reasons this song means so much to her, noting, “sometimes leaving is the only way you understand the importance of where you’re from,” and “ if you want to know more about yourself, go back and find it.” 

Kelsea notes, “my years in knoxville shaped my creativity, my drive, and my sense of self. i wouldn’t be doing this had i grown up anywhere else,” adding, “leaving at 15 to go chase this dream down was the hardest and best decision i’ve ever made.” 

Finally she shares, “i love every single person who is a part of this,” adding to Kenny, “you showed up in every way for this song and have become such a friend and brother through it.” Check out her full post below:
