Justin Moore On How His Mother Inspired His New Single

Justin Moore’s picked “Why We Drink” as his latest single, and it’s a tune that he says was inspired by his mom, although he admits that sounds worse than it is. Justin jokes “I feel like I need to elaborate so that’s not just what’s put out there.”
Justin explains that he got the idea after a night out with his wife and his parents, and after he had a few drinks his mom asked him why he drank so much, at which point he replied, “Well, it never occurred to me that I shouldn’t. I never found a reason not to.”
That spawned the idea for the song and when he brought it to his writers they were all on board. He notes, “we had a lot of fun with that one.”
