Jimmie Rodgers, known for having hit singles in the 50s and 60s, died last week from kidney disease at the age of 87.
Rodgers' first big hit was the single “Honeycomb,” which he released in 1957. He also known or such hits as “Kisses Sweeter Than Wine,” “Oh-Oh, I’m Falling In Love Again,” “Secretly” and “Are You Really Mine?,” many of which landed in the Top Ten.
He also appeared on several TV variety shows, and even acted in movies, including such films as "The Little Shepherd of Kingdom Come" and "Back Door to Hell" which featured a young Jack Nicholson.
