Jimmie Allen Was Scared & Broke When He Became A Dad The First Time

In connection with Father’s Day, Jimmie Allen chats with “People” about finding out he was going to be a dad for the first time, and admits it was a bit scary at first.
"I was broke when I had my son," Jimmie shares. "I was working three jobs… And I get a call ... every guy gets this text and you always think the same thing. [My son's mom said] 'Hey, we need to talk.' ... She was like, 'I found out I'm pregnant.'”
Jimmie says he “wasn’t exited at first,” noting, “I was nervous, I was scared and I was sick. I didn't leave the house for, like, two days. I just laid on the bed.” He was mainly worried because he hadn’t yet fulfilled his dream of being an artist and was concerned about providing for his child. But he notes, “after two days, I was excited and I was ready. But the first two days, I was freaking out."
Jimmie’s son Aadyn is now six, and apparently he may have been good luck for Jimmy., “The crazy thing is after I had my son, that next year, I got a publishing deal. The next year, I got a record deal,” he says, adding, "I love that kid, man."
And Jimmie is now a dad of two. He and fiancé Alexis Gale welcomed daughter Naomi Bettie three months ago.
