Jason Aldean wasn’t always a country star. In fact, he shares in a new Instagram video that before he hit it big in music he was a delivery guy for Pepsi.

"We had a route, me and another guy, and we would ride. It was fun,” he shares, noting that he became friends with his fellow driver, Tommy, who has since passed away.

"But he was always the guy that would kind of give me Thursday and Friday so that I could head out Wednesday night, drive to Florida, play shows,” he shares. “I got to be really good friends with him."

Jason adds, “When people wouldn't give me the time off to do things with music, he was one of those guys who supported that and let me take off whenever I needed to. And it just worked out really well."

The video is part of Jason’s “How Macon Made Me” series in the lead up to the release of his new album “Macon,” which drops next Friday.
