ICYMI: Sheryl Crow Doesn’t Understand The “Big Stink” Over Taylor Swift’s Masters

Sheryl Crow is currently signed to Big Machine, the same label that Taylor Swift used to be on which is now owned by Scooter Braun, much to Taylor’s dismay. Well, in case you missed it, Sheryl was asked about the whole Taylor controversy during an appearance on “Watch What Happens Live” and she doesn’t know what the big deal is.
“I’m going to be honest with you. I live with my head in a big hole. I stay out of that world,” Sheryl shared, although she notes that labels owning an artists masters isn’t uncommon.
“I will say one thing about masters is, you know… these things, that’s just the way the business goes,” she said. “It’s totally not unusual for your masters to change hands like 9,000 times. So I don’t know what the big stink was, so I’m kind of out of the loop. So I don’t really know.”
