Here’s How Covid Has Affected Dating

You don’t have to be single to enjoy going out on a date, but whatever your relationship status is, the past two years of the pandemic has
certainly altered the whole dating experience. A new poll by WooDate asked 1,000 people, including singles, married, those living with a partner and more, how the pandemic has affected dating and the responses were interesting.

Among the revelations:
• 55% of those polled say their dating lives are now worse than prepandemic.

As the pandemic continues:
• 55% say their dating lives haven’t improved.
• 12% say it hasn’t changed.

•  33% admit it has gotten better.
• 29% of people say they are going on fewer dates a month.
• Pre-Covid, respondents were going on 4.26 dates a month while as of last month that number dropped to 3.02 dates a month.
• One major problem is planning a date just isn’t that easy these days.
• In fact, 64% of people say it’s much harder to plan a date now.

And there are certainly more steps folks ar taking before going out on a date, including:
• 34% check ahead of time to find out if events or places have particular Covid rules.
• 23% check reviews for how well the place handles Covid safety
• 32% spend more time researching hours and whether the place is still operational
• 25% spend more time planning what to do for the dates And of course, COVID is making some more worried about going out on dates.
• 28% say they feel less motivated to go out.
• 23% feel uneasy being out on a date with the thought of gettingCovid.
• 19% of single respondents take an extra step to ask whether their date is vaccinated,


But that’s concern is not true for everyone:
• 24% want to get out as much as possible to make up for lost time.
• 23% are willing to spend more on dates since they had to stay indoors so long.
