There’s no doubt the past year and a half wasn’t easy, and while things may be getting a bit back to “normal,” the same can’t be said for a lot of people’s stress levels.

A new survey finds:

  • The pandemic was so stressful that half of Americans fear they won’t ever be able to fully de-stress, even when everything is back to normal.
  • 55% say stress has left them feeling burnt out.
  • 46% say they are desperate for a way to handle that stress.

But some people do have ideas for their perfect way to de-stress. They include:

    • A trip to a luxury resort (34%)
    • Shopping spree (29%)
    • Time alone in a cabin in the woods (24%)
    • A solo road trip (21%)
    • Time alone on a mountain (18%)
  • The average American insists they’d need 10 days in their ideal location to de-stress.

But if they can’t get away, there are other things people do that help relieve their stress.

  • They include:
    • Listening to music (45%)
    • Taking a walk (38%)
    • Binge-watching TV (33%)
    • Taking a deep breath (29%)
    • Cuddling a pet (28%)
