“George & Tammy” Is The Most Watched Premiere In Showtime’s History

Showtime has announced that their new series “George & Tammy,” featuring Jessica Chastain as Tammy Wynette and Michael Shannon as George Jones, is the most-watched premiere in the history of the network. The premiere of the limited series grabbed 3.3 million live and same-day viewers during its simulcast on Showtime, CMT, and Paramount.
The rest of the series will be available on Showtime on Sunday nights at 9 p.m., but new episodes will be available to Showtime and Paramount+ with Showtime subscribers earlier, becoming available to stream on Fridays. Chastain has earned a Golden Globe nomination for her role as Wynette.
