George Strait Lands Top Five Debut, 27th Country Number One

George Strait has a new hit album. The legendary singer’s latest release, “Honky Tonk Time Machine,” debuts at number four on the all-genre “Billboard” 200 Album chart, making it his 21st Top Ten record. The album also tops "Billboard's" Top Country Albums chart, making it his 27th number one on that chart.
George moved 51,000 units of his latest release, 44,000 in pure album sales to land in the Top Five.
The new number one now extends George's record for the most number one albums on the country chart, and the artists in second place have a long way to go to beat him. Those artists are Garth Brooks and Willie Nelson, who both have 17.
