Garth Brooks and Trisha Yearwood held another Facebook Live acoustic concert last night, which featured a set of fan requests, complete with hits, deep cuts and a slew of covers.
The night kicked off with a cover of Bill Withers’ “Lean on Me, and also featured covers of James Taylor’s “Shower The People” and “Fire and Rain,” Jim Croce’s “I Got A Name,” “Time in a Bottle” and “Lover’s Cross,” Bob Seger’s “Against The Wind,” “Turn The Page,” and “Night Moves,” and Bob Dylan’s “To Make You Feel My Love,” which he recorded for “Hope Floats”
Among his own tunes Garth sang “We Belong To Each Other,” “The River,” “That Summer,” "Thunder Rolls with the third verse, “Callin’ Baton Rouge,” “Friends in Low Places,” “Baby Let’s Lay Down and Dance,” “Much Too Young To Feel This Damn Old” and “When You Come Back To Me Again” from the movie “Frequency”
While Trisha mostly provided backing vocals throughout the night, she did perform “Victim of the Game” and wowed with her take on The Eagles’ “Desperado.” She and Garth even teamed up to attempt the Cher/Sonny Bono classic “I Got You Babe.”
