Gabby Barrett Talks About Living Her Dreams As She Accepts “Billboard’s” Rising Star Award

Gabby Barrett was honored with the Rising Star Award at "Billboard’s" Women In Music event, where she talked about the struggles she faced trying to achieve her dream.
“I grew up with this big dream. It certainly was not easy,” she shared. “I did not come from a wealthy background. A lot of people doubted me – kids, adults, schoolteachers,” adding, “I heard a lot of ‘nos’ and it seemed like every door that I knocked on remained closed for a long time.”
Finally she noted, “But by the graciousness of God, I am here today. I continue to work hard and persevere,” adding, “I dedicate this to all those who dream big, no matter what age you are.”
Gabby also performed at the event, treating to the audience to her hit “I Hope,” backed by her husband Cade Foehner.
