Florida Georgia Line and Bebe Rexha’s “Meant to Be” continues its hold on number one. The track is spending its 25th week on top the Hot Country Songs chart, which means it now surpasses FGL's "Cruise," for the second-longest reign on that chart. "Cruise" topped the "Hot Country Songs" chart for 24 weeks back in 2012-2013.
"To think that Tyler and I first started writing songs on the back of a tailgate … to see the kind of reach these songs can have is really humbling," Brian Kelley tells "Billboard." "It's something that's bigger than us, bigger than FGL and we are so grateful to be on this ride."
"Meant To Be" is the longest reign for a duo on top the Hot Country Songs chart, while Sam Hunt's “Body Like A Back Road" still has the overall record, with 34 weeks. In addition, “Meant To Be” is still in the Top Five on the all-genre “Billboard” Hot 100, holding at number five this week.
- Meanwhile, Maren Morris collaboration with Zedd and Grey, "The Middle" hold on to number one on the Radio Songs chart for a second, and also remains at number six on the "Billboard" Hot 100 Top Ten. It also tops the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart for a 16th week.
Elswhere on the charts...
- Kane Brown's "Heaven" is spending its second week on top the Country Airplay chart, his first multi-week number one.
- Sam Hunt's new single "Downtown's Dead" debuts at number 18 on the Country Airplay chart, the highest arrival since Miranda Lambert's"Vice" debuted at 18 in 2016.
- Darius Rucker's "For The First Time" is at 10 on the Hot Country Songs chart, his 10th Top Ten.
- ONE MORE THING! With the huge success FGL has had with collaborations like "Meant to Be," it makes sense that they would love to do some more, and they have some big artists on their wishlist. According to Tyler Hubbard, he and Brian would love to work with everyone from Bruno Mars to Justin Timberlake to even Cardi B.
