Super Bowl LV kicked off last night with one of the more unique renditions of the National Anthem. Counry star Eric Church and R&B singer Jazmine Sullivan teamed to sing the “Star Spangled Banner” at the Big Game, with Eric playing guitar and starting things off and Jazmine bringing some soul to the second verse.
Then by “and the rockets red glare” they came together as fireworks went off, and they finished the rest of the song together, although not necessarily in unison.
- Meanwhile H.E.R. also brought some patriotic spirit to the opening, backing herself on guitar with a soulful performance of “America The Beautiful,” which featured a pretty rockin’ guitar solo.
