Eric Church is prepping for the opening of his Nashville bar, "Chief's" - and he's got big plans.

The bar will be a two-story performance venue with some down-home deliciousness on the menu in the form of an assortment of food from Carolina legend and James Beard-award winning barbecue chef Rodney Scott. On top of big plans for the performance area and the menu, Church has big plans for what happens inside the walls of his new place.

He told Rolling Stone recently that he wants to put on big, meaningful events "like paying tribute to the Route 91 Harvest Festival shooting in Las Vegas, and to his brother, Brandon, who passed away suddenly in 2018. "I want to do a show that talks about Vegas. It talks about my brother. It talks about things in my life. I’m not going down there to play 'Drink in My Hand.' "It’s going to be stuff that’s very raw, very real, and it’s just me onstage. It’ll be Church on Broadway." No specific date is set for the opening of Chief's, but it is expected to happen before the end of the year
