Eli Young Band Look Back At Their Biggest Tunes As They Release Their “Greatest Hits” Album

Eli Young Band drops the new compilation, “This Is Eli Young Band: Greatest Hits,” today featuring two new songs as well as some of their most popular tunes, including number one hits “Crazy Girl” and “Even If It Breaks Your Heart.”
James Young says as soon as he and Mike Eli heard “Crazy Girl,” they thought it was “one of those undeniable ‘man this is a hit song we need to record it,” adding, “we just kind of knew that it was gonna be a great song for us.”
As for “Even If It Breaks Your Heart,” which was originally recorded by Will Hoge, Mike says they were always a “huge fan” of the song, adding that it was a tune that “empowered us.” He notes, “recording this song was kind of a guilty pleasure for us,” sharing, “I think because we put so much passion into this song and the recording of this song, we really felt like it was our own even though we didn’t write it.”
