Another cut from Dolly Parton's upcoming "Rockstar" album has dropped. The country legend has teamed up with her goddaughter Miley Cyrus for a re-recording of Miley's 2013 hit "Wrecking Ball. Fans already had an idea of what the pairing would sound like; Parton and Cyrus performed “Wrecking Ball” together in a medley on "Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party," which Cyrus hosted to ring in 2023. In a statement posted to social media, Parton had insanely high praise for Miley's hit song.
"I remember the first time I heard 'Wrecking Ball,' it hit me the same way it did the first time I heard 'I Will Always Love You' by Whitney Houston. I was driving, heard that one, and I almost wrecked. And when I heard 'Wrecking Ball,' I almost wrecked again! I thought, when it started into that chorus, 'It hit me like a wrecking ball...' I thought, 'Well how great can a song be?'" The full "Rockstar" album comes out November 17.
