Dierks Bentley Isn’t Looking For A Big Party On New Year’s

While a lot of people like to drink too much on New Year’s Eve, Dierks Bentley isn’t really one of them. “I’ve honestly found that it’s not my favorite night to throw down,” Dierks says, noting that he’s usually partying on tour all year so when it comes to New Year’s, “I’m looking for a really mellow hang.”
“Some of my best New Year’s have been just like actually hearing fireworks go off while I’m in bed, and know I’m gonna wake up the next morning for the first day of the New Year feeling great, feeling recharged,” he says, “I’m ready to go into the New Year feeling good as opposed to going into it with a giant Jagerbomb hangover, which I’ve done many, many times.”
Among the things keeping Dierks from partying too hard on New Years is his kids. He offers, “you really just don’t want to be hungover with children. It’s not a good feeling.”
- As for the best way to cure that Jagerbomb hangover, Dierks says the answer is simple. Since January 1st is a day off he suggests, “a little hair of the dog,” or, “water and stay on the couch.”
