Luke Combs Mining Dad-Hood For More New Songs: Luke Combs has said that his life is largely about being a father now, and his music is bound to reflect that. In that vein, Luke teased a new song on Instagram over the weekend about fatherhood, but from the perspective of a son seeing his father grow older. As posted, the song has no title, though the lyrics seem to suggest it could be "I'll Always Remember Him That Way." Alongside the audio clip, Luke wrote, "Still sounding good?"
Does Morgan Wallen Have Even More New Music Coming?: Morgan Wallen seems to be creating at a high level these days. Just two weeks after surprise-dropping his "Abbey Road Sessions," Morgan seems to be hard at work producing new music. Over the weekend, he posted a video clip to Instagram, in which he (or someone) starts playing a song that's being worked on on their laptop. While the audio quality isn't the best, it doesn't need to be to hear that Morgan is working on another banger.
Cyndi Thomson Is Back With "The Georgia In Me": As quickly as she appeared on the country scene and made her mark, she was gone. We told you last month that Cyndi Thomson is mounting a comeback after making a splash in country music back in 2001. The first hint at what that comeback will sound like came out over the weekend. Cyndi's new song is "The Georgia In Me,".
It's Out! The Long-Awaited Jelly Roll-Ernest Collab Drops: In December, we told you how an upcoming Ernest/Jelly Roll collaboration came to be. Last month, the pair released a snippet of the song. Now, we have the whole song in its final form, and it was well worth the wait. "I Went To College/I Went To Jail," a song that seemingly started out as a joke, is now the tale of how these two met, became friends, ended up on different paths in life only to end up in virtually the same place - making country music in Nashville.
Kenny Chesney Unveils Last New Track Before Album Release: As we draw closer to the release of Kenny Chesney's new album "Born," the singer has released one more new track from the collection. "Wherever You Are Tonight." Of the song, Kenny says, "The thing about this song that struck me is that idea people we love never truly leave us. We can’t see them, or know where they go after they pass on, but everything we shared remains…who we are because of them, that doesn’t change. But this song suggests that beyond the grief, the pain and the memories, wherever the people we love are, they’re not so far away." It's a hard left turn from the beach and sun songs he's become known for, and more in the line of Chesney tracks like "There Goes My Life." The new album, "Born," comes out this Friday.
